Effective May 1 - New Branch Hours and Shared Branching Security Measures
Beginning May 1, GLCU will be changing our hours. Please visit our website on May 1 to see the new hours for the location nearest you.
Additionally, with fraud on the rise, we’ve added new security measures to safeguard our members from identity theft at our shared branch locations. Tellers can now identify and authenticate members with out-of-state IDs in the branch through a QR code and one-time passcode multi-factor authentication verification. This additional layer of authentication will be used for loan payments, cashier’s checks, deposits, withdrawals, transfers and account inquiries. This new fraud prevention measure allows us to make certain it’s YOU trying to access your account, not an imposter.

You're Invited to GLCU's Annual Membership Meeting
All members are welcome to join us for our 87th Annual Membership Meeting to learn about our 2024 performance and plans for 2025. The meeting will be held via phone conference on Teams (audio only).
To celebrate Youth Savings Month, we invite our youth members up to age 17 to stop in your local branch from April 14-26 and enter our coloring contest. Be sure to include your child’s name, age, and a parent’s phone number on the back of the coloring sheet to be entered into the contest. One winner from each branch will be chosen at random to receive a $25 deposit into their GLCU youth savings account.
Youth are invited to drop in on Friday, April 25 between 3:30 – 5:00 pm to learn about financial education during a Money Mammals Saving Money is Fun Club® reading session at the Antioch, Crystal Lake, Naperville, Skokie and Uptown branches. Our Money Mammals mascots, Joe and Piggs will be at our Crystal Lake and Skokie branches!

Apply for a GLCU Foundation Scholarship
Applying for one of the GLCU Foundation for Financial Empowerment’s eight $2,500 scholarships has never been easier. Simply complete the application with your short video entry, transcripts and letter of recommendation. Recipients are chosen through a process that evaluates the following areas: video answers, academic success, community/school involvement, reference letter and work history.
But hurry - the deadline to apply is April 30, 2025.
GLCU and GLCU Foundation for Financial Empowerment offer a wide range of free, in-person financial education sessions for our community partners to bring to their students. GLCU facilitates Money Mammals Saving Money is Fun Club® for Kindergarten-3rd graders, Adolescent$ programming for 4th-8th graders, and Bite of Reality budgeting simulation for high school students. So far in 2025 over 120 students have been impacted by these sessions with more sessions scheduled. If your school or community organization is interested in bringing one of our programs to your students, reach out to communitydevelopment@glcu.org.
